世界環境日,目標在提升大家對環境保護的認識. 今年的主題:[只有一個地球],強調永續生活的觀念, ICRT 新聞主播Hope, Jane and Tim在"新聞說分明" 播客節目中, 聊到在日常生活中培養環保意識, 從省電，回收垃圾到減塑. "新聞說分明"是個輕鬆好玩的podcast，不但傳播新聞，也讓聽眾順便增進英文單字，知道一些英語會話方式。所以來杯咖啡或是好茶，坐下來聽聽吧!

sustainability 永續發展

Some enterprises have begun to take steps to incorporate sustainability in their businesses, choosing sustainably sourced raw materials or adopting the relevant sustainability standards. 有些企業已經採取步驟，把永續發展的觀念融入他們的營運。例如他們會選擇可以永續的原料，或是遵守相關的永續發展標準。

Separate and recycle waste 垃圾分類與回收

School children know how to separate waste into those that can be recycled such as plastics and paper, and those that can’t. 小學生都知道怎麼把垃圾分類成可以回收再利用的，例如塑膠和紙類，以及沒辦法回收的。

Air conditioner 冷氣機

A: We should set the air conditioner’s temperature a bit higher. 我們應該把冷氣機的設定溫度調高一點。

B: Why? It’s very hot out there! 為什麼? 外面很熱呢!

A: Well, it would be better to set it at 27 or 28 degrees to save energy. 為了節省能源，把冷氣機溫度訂在27或是28度比較好。

B: That’s too warm! 那太高了!

Water bottle/hydro flask 水壺/保溫瓶

Starting July 1st, those who bring their own cups, water bottles or hydro flasks when buying drinks at soft drink stores, fast food chains or convenience stores will get a discount of 5 NT. 從七月一號開始，自備杯子或水壺或保溫瓶去飲料店，快餐連鎖店或是便利商店買飲料，可以得到五塊錢折扣。
