Host: Typhoons can appear throughout the year. Here they are most common in July, August and September

Host: They only ever occur in the Northwestern Pacific ocean. Taiwan is right at the heart of a very dangerous section, called Typhoon Alley

Host: 2009’s Typhoon Morakot remains Taiwan’s deadliest so far, causing a lot of deaths, injuries, and damage to property

Host: Readiness is key. People should re-enforce their homes, look out for official updates, collect supplies, and be prepared to evacuate
